On-farm trials are a big part of what we do at the Land Gardeners and evidence-based research is crucial to finding the most efficient solutions for farmers navigating their soil health.



That’s why, over the past decade, we’ve teamed up with exceptional scientists, researchers and farmers innovating in the field. Together we’re continuing to push for practical pathways towards better food systems.

The Land Gardeners are currently working with the Organic Research Centre to run a series of trials in response to the growing need for practical, evidence-based advise on the best ways to compost organic waste and apply it to improve soil health.

We’re also building a network of fellow and future composters to develop a knowledge base on the use of composts, teas and extracts at farm scale.
