“Health can be as infectious as disease, growing and spreading under the right conditions"
Co-founded of The Soil Association in 1946 following publication of what subsequently became the founding text of organic agriculture, The Living Soil.
Having determined from a young age that she wanted to become a farmer, Eve studied agriculture at Reading University before buying a farm with her sister in Suffolk at the age of 21. She went on to conduct the first long term side by side farm-based experiment comparing organic and chemical farming: the ‘Haughley Experiments”.
She saw the causes of health are rooted in the food we eat and the way we farm.
